About the Role
Every author wishes they could spend some real time with their characters. To ask them questions about their world, their friends and family, and their feelings. This short, 8 episode audio drama explores what that would really look like. 'Interview With My Author' follows a writer meeting with 7 of their characters, each with a different personality and role. Along the way, Author learns that this world that they created, and more importantly the people inside it, are not at all what they were expecting.
The Mentor is meant to mirror the Author's mother. They are kind, patient, and meticulous. They speak slowly, putting care into every word. They never say anything without meaning, their sentences are thoughtfully constructed. This should come across very obviously in the performance.
